peter.gietz@daasi.deWithin DARIAH-DE an Authentication and Authorization Infrastructure has been set up that allows for any researcher to seamlessly authenticate to DARIAH services with the password of their home institution. She only needs to be connected to an institution that is integrated in one of the national federations, such as ACOnet Identity Fedeartion (AT), Belnet Federation (BE), Fédération Éducation-Recherche (FR), DFN-AAI (DE), SURFconext (NL),. Since a DARIAH „homeless“-IdP is also integrated, researcher that are not affiliated with a federated institution can authenticate via their DARIAH account. A group based privilege management allows for fine-grained authorization to the single services. There still are a number of challenges that need to be addressed:
• Better integration of the campus Identity Provider
• Better consistency in the usage of Attributes
• Better transparency of the levels of trust
• Interoperability with other AAI infrastructures in Arts, humanities and social sciences
This working group aims at disseminating information about this infrastructure and will set up a number of pilots to integrate services from different DARIAH countries into this infrastructure. Within these pilots the challenges named above will be evaluated.
